A deep dive
into the roots of
Japanese Bodywork
This online course is based on the material from the Japanese Bodywork
Classics the Ampuku Zukai and the Anma Tebiki; both books are from the late Edo period and have laid the basis for what would later become Shiatsu and Anma.
In this course, you can learn at your own pace the 30 Ampuku Abdominal Acupressure techniques and the whole body protocols from those Classics. This course will provide you with a series of videos showing all the techniques in detail. You will also have access to detailed text content that can be downloaded as PDFs, and there are audio files that can be downloaded to your computer, phone, or tablet to study at your leisure.
The course will start on 6 December 2025 and run for 8 weeks. During those 8 weeks, new material, including live Zoom sessions, will be added to the online platform every Saturday. The online platform with all the material will remain available for a period of 3 years.
